By the Sea of Galilee 2

Then we slipped over to the Church of the Primacy of Peter that commemorates the Risen Jesus asking Simon Peter three times: Do you love me? And commissioning him to feed his sheep.  

We walked from there to see the cave where Jesus apparently gave the Sermon on the Mount. 

Next we headed to Capernaum, Jesus' adopted home.  Extensive ruins of the first century village with a modern church over the house of Simon Peter. 

The last stop was the village of Magdala, where the 1st century synagogue has been discovered.  

To close out the day, we took a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.   :)
