the Way
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. -- Lao Tzu
In less than a month I will head to Spain to begin the Camino, the ancient pilgrimage route to the tomb of St. James the Apostle. What a joy to anticipate walking with other pilgrims and walking with the Lord along a path millions of people of faith have walked before!
I have wanted to make this journey for a long time. For the weeks of Lent, I took long hikes to prepare my legs and feet for the exertion. I am gathering my pack and working to reduce my load as much as possible.
This blog is another of those beginning steps. Several people have asked me to share the story while I am on the Way. This is the space where I will update my progress and hopefully upload some pictures.
