Skip
After a nice walk around Old City Toulouse today, I took a flight to Madrid so that I can fly home tomorrow. The nice twist as we made the skip over the Pyrenees was that the plane flew over the Camino path that had been walked the previous week. Here is a shot of the Somport Pass and Jaca from above.

Around town
Stopped by some of the spots in the village of Lourdes where Bernadette lived as well as went by the cemetery where her family is buried. St. Bernadette is incorrupt at the convent in Nevers.

One last walk
The last 16km into Lourdes were gentle and smooth, along country roads in a soft rain. The sore, tired blistered feet were thankful for the cool water.

Arudy
Had a grand 24km walk under overcast skies to Arudy today. The trail went on roads and paths through 3 little villages all under the shadow of the Pyrenees. A lovely day.

Up and Over
Had a glorious day crossing the Pyrenees into France and dropping down to the village of Urdos. This was the most beautiful stage of all the Caminos I have ever walked. Just stunning! The majesty and quiet of the countryside were amazing. It was such a good day!

San Juan
A couple of old Benedictine monasteries are in the hills above Jaca. Once home to the alleged "Holy Grail", these were a lovely place to visit.

Santa Cruz
Another lovely day for a Walk. Not quite as scenic today but a good trek. Taking a bit of a variant today to see Santa Cruz and the two monasteries at San Juan de la Pena.
